The "Gold Star Families Memorial Monument - California" is going to be located and built at Lone Tree Cemetery in Hayward, California, in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Our goal is to build a Gold Star Families memorial Monument to forever Honor and Remember our KIA military heroes and their Gold Star Families.

A Gold Star Family is a relative of a U. S. Military member of the Armed Forces of the United States that has sacrificed their life for our Country, our way of life and the American Flag under which they served.

We have been asked by WWII veteran, survivor of the Battle of Iwo Jima and Medal of Honor recipient Hershel "Woody" Williams to help him with his dream and goal of building at least one Gold Star Families Memorial Monument in all 50 States of the USA. We have the honor of having been selected by Woody to be the first Gold Star Families Memorial Monument built in our great State of California.

With the generous support and donations of local citizens, organizations and companies, our goal is to have the Memorial completed and dedicated soon.
