Also they include the name of the newspaper or magazine and the date they were published. The articles from the American Legion and the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) all ran in their NATIONAL magazines, each magazine is mailed out to MILLIONS of veterans. Thank you again for all of the donations, support and help from everyone involved with this Memorial who contributed money, time and effort.

- Gold Star Families Event San Francisco 2016 -

The Foundation and MOH "Woody" Williams were invited to the yearly Gold Star Families event at the Marines Memorial Club & Hotel in San Francisco.  Woody was not able to attend so he asked Michael L. Emerson to go and represent him and the Foundation.  Michael went on Thursday, 18 Feb 2016 and was there from 12noon until about 8pm.  He brought 200+ of his Gold Star business cards, 30 Gold Star lapel pins, about 40 of the Gold Star brochures, and the new 3ft x 4ft Gold Star poster.  Michael talked to everyone and gave away all of his cards, pins and brochures.  There must have been 300-400 people at the event.  Michael told them all about the Memorials the Foundation is building all over the USA and the three scheduled in San Jose, Riverside, and Hayward in California.  Dozens of family groups said they will support the Memorials we already are working on and interested in possibly building one in their town.  Photo #1:  Michael with General Myatt and Gold Star Poster. Photo #2: Gold Star Mothers and Gold Star Poster. Photo #3: Michael with General McMaster and Gold Star Poster.  It was a great event and the word got out about the Gold Star Families Memorial Monuments to Gold Star Families all over California, Oregon and Nevada.  San Francisco, California.  Thursday, 18 February 2016.

- With Medal of Honor recipient Woody Williams -

MOH Hershel "Woody" Williams, his grandson/Foundation President Brent Casey and Foundation member Michael L. Emerson participated in the "Spirit of '45" National Leaders Conference Silicon Valley February 12 & 13, 2016.  The conference was held in San Jose, California.  We discussed Woody's Foundation and our goal of building at least one "Gold Star Families Memorial Monument" in all 50 States in the USA.  We already have 7 build on the East Coast.  We are currently working on one in Riverside, California and one in Hayward, California. We showed them the Memorial's design and gave out information.  At the end of the conference the Spirit of '45 organization said they wanted us to help them build a Gold Star Families Memorial Monument in San Jose, CA.   San Jose, California
